    Yeah Deja Vu the only thing that's feeling like "filler" on here quality wise. Everything else growing on me.

    He tried and failed when he tried to be a trap artist.

    Drake has this manufactured pressure to switch up his sound because he's the biggest rap artist in the world right now. But his 2013 formula was perfect, he had no reason to depart from that.

    The thing about Cole is, he was incapable of making a classic with his vintage sound. He peaked on FNL and never came close to that. So borrowing sonically from TPAB might let him take a step, but this is Cole stepping out of his box as much as making trap music was Drake stepping out of his.

    The only difference is, this is not a huge departure from what Cole has made in the past so he's actually good at it.

    But if this album ends up being better than Nothing Was The Same or Take Care, I'll be impressed.
