    Just my 2 cents onto the whole Drake thing:

    Outside of the atmospheric music he does with 40, he's gone out of his ways to try a lot of different sounds that are out of whatever his comfort zone is (which is hard to narrow down since he's been very versatile). I think the biggest criticism I have of him is that his subject material can get redundant at times and he's capable of brain farts like Cole in some of his lines (no pun intended)

    yeah, i think that comes within a year.. or something else in general from him within a year. and thats what the tours and all will be from. -- see my last post.

    you're talking about an artist who set the all time record for streams at 2 billion last year, and then went back and did 4.7 billion this year.

    no artist is touching drake in teams or who is "hot", future is hot rn because of drake. getting acclaim for a string of quality tapes is not equivalent to co-headline a stadium tour.

    drake gave future that, and future is my 2nd favourite artist rn after young thug.

    drake isn't in my top 5 right now.

    Would love to hear Drizzy delve deeper into his past relationships/insecurities a la Fewtch instead of going surface level in them. Would make for some compelling music. :wow2:

    now does drake ride waves? yes 100%. he crafted his own signature sound but when that got played, he turned in to a hit factory with his takes on bubbling sounds rather than being an artist as he was when he broke in.

    but i addressed that earlier, he tried being a trap artist and failed.

    Drake occupies his own lane and is the best at it. That relationship, surface level stuff that 90% of 20-30 year olds go through. Kendrick is the best at the conscious, social awareness lane. Cole occupies the lane in between both
