    So, basically Cole was holding on to this album for years.

    What if............

    Cole told Kendrick about his friend story and the album years ago, and Kendrick kinda stole the idea, (not the idea as a whole cause both albums are 2 different stories. but at the same time, they are really similar). and that's how he came up with the GKMC ??? :rockyhmm:

    what i find funny is he criticizes the theme for being surface level but then he is not analytical enough to go deeper and realize the relevance of neighbours to the storyline

    obviously joking but foreal i have a question for y'all, and myself as well really ...

    hey ya aint really saying s---, what the h--- does "hey yaaaaa" mean? nothing
    the song is caried by the melody, beat, vibe, etc ... you don't worry about what the song is about ...

    why can't the same be said about folding clothes? would we rather a song with the same beat, melody, everything except instead of lyrics like "i wanna fold clothes for ya" to just be "la da da da dee" ... ? and have a dope melody but not actually say anything ?

    cause i think we can all agree the vibe and melody of the song is dope, its just the subject matter that people have a problem with ...
