    Idk bro, to me it's clearly about Wale given everything he's said/done since 2014. Beefin with Meek, no critical love even though he sold well, complaining that Kendrick doesn't pick up his calls anymore, etc.

    I believe it'd be about Bas more than himself. Cole's had a big audience ever since TWU dropped and he's always had the attitude that he didn't care about what people thought of his music.

    i don't think you're wrong for believing it's wale. i just don't think it's fact and there are other explanations. basically he put the entire song for us to have our own interpretations

    did you watch cole interviews during forest hills drive era ?? he said he cared about what critics thought, and it was lowkey stressing him. he said in the npr interview that he saw a list by rolling stone on best songs of 2013, and they included crooked smile but not power trip and he was like are they crazy etc
