Yeah that’s part of the reason Cole will never be as acclaimed as kendrick. Cole always follows what kendrick is doing to varying levels of success, while kendrick always does something new and usually succeeds

I completely agree. Cole is great at what he does, but Kendrick is one of the greatest artists of this millennium in any music.

    Still f--- with KOD though

Ever since they both went commercial, I could probably agree with this to a point. But before all that, they were completely different artists who approached "SOME OF" the same topics in somewhat similar manner, but they retained their distinctive idiosyncrasies throughout the earlier segment of their individual careers.

And if we're being honest, J. Cole had a stronger underground beginning. "AND" he was producing a B*** of his own s--- back then. People love to s--- on Cole just to big-up Kendrick and even Kendrick is probably getting tired of it.

Kendrick is marginally doing a better job at staying fresh and constantly evolving, but Cole is not that far behind. Js. I wish he had more albums like FHD though. Would really help the plausibility of these remarks I'm making in his defense be that much more indubitable.

it finds the true purpose behind the album
but on the other hand it eludes the weakest tracks on it (Motiv8 for instance)
    great read anyway
