    I think it's actually a dope look. Similar to how Yeezus had an under stated influence on where the hip hop genre shifted towards after its release, 808s was slightly before its time as well. Rap music began to sound different after both of those albums came out, I could see him resurrecting 808s because it didn't really get its due when it was released.

    Or, it's Just Kanye being Kanye and saying, "f--- all y'all I'm gonna perform 808s for no reason."

    Everyone did fam. His music is dope on certain occasions to get you hyped up, but no one wants to be seen bumping his s--- no more. His career is really done. He is Ja Rule of this generation.

    You really think so? I hear so much of Yeezus in today's trends. I believe Yeezus was the push that brought the musical trap/ambient sound to the mainstream. My observation is that artists like Future/Travis/Rae Sremmurd/etc became more accepted around that time, not that they didn't have fans before. But just in the way he's rapping as well as the beats and song structures, I think Yeezus took the sound from relatively underground to more of the masses.

    I don't really enjoy listening to it, but I've gone back to it periodically and it has a big influence on things that are really hot right now.

    I could be off some s--- but that's just what I've seen happen. You're right that 808s is way more influential, but Yeezus has a nuanced and subtle influence that I hear all over rap right now.
