    There is a huge nostalgic vibe to FHD that blinds any objectivity I have whenever it comes to me discussing it. I don't think I'd put it over projects like Summertime 06 but it's still a great project and not to mention I find a ton of people IRL loving FHD, some even call it their favorite album ever.

    Summertime is super super good. If it wasnt for being a little too long itd be best of 2015 imo

    Tbh from lookin at the releases in the past 12 months cole is definitely out of my top 5. I mean you have

    TPAB
    Summertime 06
    Deeply Rooted
    Go:od am
    Barter 6
    Compton


    Reason this came to mind was cus I was arguing with em stans earlier and had to make sure I kept my Cole stannery in check. Realistically, cole is not top 5 imo of last 12 months

    For some reason I never could get into Summertime 06, idk :idk: I know the concepts are dope as f---, but sonically it's not there for me, similar to TPAB. Obviously if Tory drops an album this year, which I doubt it, it would probably be in the consideration for the No.1 cause I'm too much of a stan. Bryson's album was dope, but it wasn't consistant IMO. I'm still a stan tho. KRIT's "King pt.4" is the song of the year for me and possible his best to date. That s--- is so relateable, emotional and legendary it cannot be put into words. When you need to refresh your ears, you should listen to it.

    Yea I hear you, even though in a vacuum Cole's music is easily my favorite I gotta keep things in perspective when it comes to the other music thats out. My top 5 would look like:

    Summertime 06
    Beast Mode/56 Nights
    Slime Season
    Compton
    Ballin' Like I'm Kobe

    I feel you about the comparison between "favorite" and the "best".
    Its interesting to me the line of subjectivity and objectivy in rating music and where people draw it. I imagine people's pov's being like a pie chart split in two and the strength of the connection between an individual and the music, represents how lenient the chart is either toward an objectivie or subjective pov.

    If that makes any sense lol

    i've heard barter 6 and rich g--- but these aren't good projects at all. some good songs here and there but i aint letting 60 mins of that ride

    Why not? The s--- is super creative, it's refreshing. Young Thug throws 6 different flows in one verse so casually, it never gets repetitive or boring. You cant deny that

    @Lockness yeah homie he's been delivering these last two years. @El Ares summed it up in his last post as in he's a really entertaining figure in hip-hop, his music is pretty accessible and his projects turned out to be great. Now I ain't gonna hail him as this "best rapper alive" as others would but he's on a nice upward trend :idk:
