    It's highly unlikely she just all of a sudden started identifying as a woman. It makes sense she has always felt that way like she says but didn't have the courage to come out and announce it. For the same reason there are closeted gay people...they are terrified of the reaction they're going to get from society and their friends and family. That's why she had kids and kept things under wrap. She was terrified of the reaction she'd get. But she finally found the courage and is out as her true self now. I don't see what the media is doing wrong in this regard...

    I'm not naive to not know that. People magazine crowned her or he's a semi-finalist for WOMAN OF THE YEAR. biologically she's not a woman. Hormone therapy to change your gender?? Sorry, that's bs! Obviously, God makes mistakes...

    But honestly to me I think it's a joke how she is getting women of the year, courage awards, etc ...

    he isn't the first one, he isn't a women.

    I'm all for people doing their own thing but he doesn't deserve awards.

    Why does Rachel Dolezal deserve rewards for coming out as a black women?

    The seed the system and media is trying to plant in our head is crazy.

    He/she is getting too much praise for what he/she did.... Yes it was brave to do what she did. But it doesn't deserve praise or reward. I can respect it, but it definitely not something I would glorify.. Just putting in my 2 cents lol

    I understand being mad at the media for pimping out her situation, and even being mad at her for the same reason, but catching feelings over anyone's personal gender identification is misplaced energy in my opinion. Also, unless you know the person, speculating on the legitimacy of their identity along any lines is nonsense based on a lack of knowledge, which is the case for all of us here. And basing an opinion of anyone's actions on your personal religion makes no sense because who's to say they subscribe to the same principles. I agree that Rachel Dolezal is full of s--- because racial identity doesn't exist because race is an external label created by society and she is also a liar that likely took a job away from someone more fit for the position based off that lie. But anyways, It's not any of my business how anyone else feels about it. I'd just rather err on the side of tolerance. Gotta love the JCN societal analysis. GOAT thread.
