Jeezy album so FIRE!! Also listen to Journals for the first time then Purpose. Journals is ungodly good, like a baby Future Sex / Love Sound. Purpose is still good on its own tho. Really good week for new albums.

That Kenya incident had me shook. These tragedies always remind me that we don't appreciate anything, and think that having girl problems or money problems are the end of the world. Millions live in fear for their life every day, we don't appreciate having the chance to actually live life.

why didn't I put RIP for a random group of people who died in the city? .. guess no one cares about them either.
point being is yes it's selective but that's how the world works, oh well - you can't please everyone. stop crying.

Sounds like people should be having an issue with FB then, not FB users.

Honestly this sounds like #AllLivesMatters vs. #BlackLivesMatter

Its not even about facebook though. The flag/profile picture thing is just a small example of the problem.

We are talking about the news coverage, and overall discussion in the media, outlets, social media etc.

This Paris attack is awful but is it fair that this incident is getting so much more attention than similar terrible outcomes?

I personally don't think so :idk: . Its not that Paris doesn't deserve this attention, but other countries should receive the same.

That is nothing like the alllivesmatter vs. blacklives matter example. Obviously all lives matter. People that are not ignorant know this.

But the black lives matter movement was started because the government and the system, make decisions and react to situations in a way that makes the black community feel black lives are valued less. Thats why its Black Lives Matter.

Different examples imo, but at the end of the day we all hope for peace and a better world, so hopefully things get better in Paris and all over the world.

Imma throw in my perspective cus I feel like people like @Equis showing support for an incident like this doesnt necessarily mean he's desensetized or that he believes other incidents in less well off countries are unworthy of more recognition.

I feel like most of us living in the US, certain European countries, etc are fortunate enough to live in a place that allows us to have a relatively great quality of life compared to people in a lot of other countries.

So, when something terrible like this happens to people that have a similar lifestyle as yourself it kind of strikes a personal cord that makes you realize that could've easily been you/your family.

That's not to say that when a similar incident happens in a 3rd world country, for example, that it's not extremely sad and worthy of support it's just not as relatable to some people. That's just the reality. And it's unrelatable not because people think that they are in any way superior to the victims of that country, it's unrelatable because of the lifestyle those people lead. It may sound insensitive on the surface but it just is how it is.

I put some perspective on it on smaller scale like this. I recently I started riding a motorcyle (it's super fun I love it btw) and every now and then I hear news of a fatal motorcycle accident that just makes me stop and really think about the people involved in the incident. I do this, even though, it seems like every week I hear of even worse car accidents where entire families are involved. Does that mean I dont care about those families since I didnt give those news the same attention as the news of the motorcycle accident? Of course not, it's still super sad and I really feel for them. However, the other news made me realize that I could easily just go outside in 5 minutes ride my motorcycle to the store and there's nothing stopping me from suffering the same faith as that one rider.

Of course Im not saying motorcycles/cars is the same as differing living conditions in certain places Im simply alluding to the relatibility of the incidents and why it seems that people place more importance on certain incidents. I dont think equis is in the wrong in any way here.

Though I do see where @Bliss is coming from, but I think that he's moreso referring to people that show fake support on fb for social media popularity. Which of course is despicable. People are not in the wrong simply cus they show support to certain incidents and not others.

After sitting with t-ts for the weekend I'll go head and cosign that s--- is fire. In the AOTY running for me. Front to back a great listen and the skits are easily skippable since they're at the end of tracks or have their own track. I don't think he wrote most of these songs with a theme in mind, he just took his best tracks and threw it on an album. I think he just recorded a bunch of music, watched Interstellar and then wrote that script for in between. I know some people can't follow along with the fast flow but if you catch it you hear he's really saying some s---
That last verse on Innermission :sweatt:
Talking about his family life on Paradise:hovcry:
    That flow on Stainless :sad2:
The production on City of Stars :shmurda:
    when @Bliss hear this s--- I'm predicting he'll become a Stan again

I was watching those long post FHD and other interviews today and feel like Coles next album is really going to be out of the blue. Like here you go. This is what I made. Spread the word.
But boy do I want that KDot collab. Just so they can make a mark in the history. :goesandbumpstemptationandshocktheworld:

I hate Interstellar fam. And I started listening and turned it off when that track where he sounds like Drake started cause i got off the bus and that track was trash. Til then it was decent, but nothing spectacular. Will listen from front to back tomorrow, then you'll hear what I think of it.

I agree with the relatability point but I think a big reason why massacres in non-western countries don't get as much coverage is because they just happen more often. It's so sad that the reality for some kids in this world is that if they step out onto the streets, there's a good chance they won't make it back. Their stories need to be heard as much as the people in Paris but the media and people are desensitised to the loss of life in these countries and it's tragic that we as a race have got to this point.

This Logic album is too strong. He basically made a mixtape in disguise, put some unrelated theme to market it and just rapped his a--- off for the whole project. I think once u understand what Logic's about, he's not gonna change the game or bring any crazy new ideas and concepts. He takes influences from different places and fuses it together to bring a dope sound. The lyricism is pretty straightforward but the flow makes up for it and there is a huge Cole influence in the way she just streams his thoughts out in his verses. Beats are fire and definitely stepped up from under pressure, wasnt a huge fan of the singing but he can def sing better than cole (dudes got everyone thinking they can sing now). Overall very enjoyable and goes hardd in the whip :colerly:
