The thing about The Warm Up days that's so powerful is that yeah you could tell he had something to prove and he was hungry and raw, but because no one knew him and it was his first true introduction, there really wasn't much outside pressure he had to deal with.

Ever since then the outside noise has had way too much of an influence on Coles output whether it meant giving away too many classic song on FNL, forcing some songs on the debut, bouncing back a little bit with Born Sinner but not getting it quite right.

Ever since FHD pressure seems all gone. He doesn't seem like he gives a f--- what anyone thinks because that's how you feel when you are that n----- so you sound way more free creatively and obviously the confidence results in the some of the best music of his career.

I definitely don't think Cole is making another Warm Up because I don't want him to because he couldn't top it if he tried. He's never gonna recapture that era. But his raps sounding effortless like he did back then and with his new melody game the sky's the limit.

Been ghost for a while like coley cole. Been reading every page, and j Cole remix was more soulful, and enjoyable. That's how all different kinds of arts are in this world, some people like superhero movies more than things like Salem and 12 years a Slave. It's the same reason that Adele and Taylor swift both have similar numbers yet are completely different. If I like Cole more I'm not saying he's better I'm just saying it's more my taste. The need for our society to label something as "better" isn't healthy, you can't only enjoy the things in life that the public says is "better" you have to feel for yourself it's whatever we as individuals feel in our souls that matters, that's what the arts and entertainment are for.

Cole and Kendrick still 1A and 1B though

One listen in and the Ross album has its hits and misses. This will be the first time I give one of his projects some spins in a while. Free enterprise is just awesome. The production on it coupled with John Legend is beautiful.
