    Word. I get that, but using the word "max" skews perspective a bit. If wing play is what y'all want, he's a great option. He'd still be making less than what Kobe is now with the cap going up. The Lakers should have space for two "max" players.

    Imo money thrown around in the nba like nobodies business. Dude hasn't won a playoff series, got swept by wizards and somehow he's worth a max contract. He averages like 20 pts a year, barely plays defense and doesn't really have a reliable 3.

    He just needs to let Kupchak do his job. Jim Buss forced things for a few years and the franchise bottomed out. He's let Kupchak make the moves and they've started paying off as evidence of their last two drafts. But the organization as a whole needs to streamline their basketball ops because they've been unprepared on the court as a result of poor scouting and tactics.

    I'm from NC, so I see every hornets game.

    If batum keep playing the way he's playing Charlotte should offer him all the money they can. They should do all they can to keep him and Lin.

    That's how I see it too. But more in the sense that he'd be one of several scoring options for the Lakers with all the developing talent they'll have.

    Side note, the Knicks are playing solid ball lately. 6 God is gonna be a monster.

    Hornets have Kemba already, they shouldn't over pay for Lin. I wouldn't over pay for Batum either.

    Ya just need to keep losing to keep that pick this year tho. Top 3 Pick, Dloading, Randle & maybe Derozon (who is still young) would be a good start to life after Kobe.
