If i was a Cavs fan i'd def want someone with more experience. But at this point of this season it's just too late and I think Bron will just be comfortable knowing he has what appears to be "his guy"

I was praying that they didn't get Thibs for the simple fact of how hard he'd game plan against the Bulls in the playoffs. He could've made that team really dangerous.

I'm hearing Lue's already got a multi year deal in place so this isn't an interim situation. Makes you think that this has been talked about behind the scenes for awhile.

As if there was any doubt about who runs s--- in Cleveland. They can't say no to him as long as he's on those 1 year deals. He doesn't have to "coach" the team anymore, but he can't make Blatt the scapegoat either.

LeBron won't win a title by coaching the Cavs. This s--- don't change anything. Blatt was a victim of terrible Cleveland organization who allowed LeBron to mess with the headcoaching just to have him back. He's an extraordinary coach, I watched this dude for years here in Europe. There is not a single soul who doesn't respect him. But that's trash a--- Cleveland organization

At the end of the day they will be the same team as they were with Blatt as the head coach. They can't figure out how to use Kevin Love constantly on offense and hide him on defense and that definitely wont change with Tyrone as the head coach. They maybe even regress on offense. Who knows if they would've made it in to the finals if Love doesn't get injured. They went on a defensive tear with him out of the lineup.

Fair points but what are they suppose to do? He clearly hated Blatt from the jump. He's on a 1 year deal, if they get embarrassed in the East or the Finals w/ Blatt who's to say Bron doesn't take his talents back to South Beach? He's got the Cavs in the palm of his hands, for better or worse.

They have to face the fact that they are not better than the Spurs and GSW, maybe even the Thunder. But it's a players league and it will always be so it doesn't surprise me that they blame or will blame it on the coach.

That's exactly what I'm saying, they allowed LeBron TO BE Cleveland. Everyone knows I ride with LeBron til the end, but no offense to him he's a basketball player. Not coach, not GM, not owner. They made him come back at any cost. There's some things you don't do at any cost. But like I sad, Cleveland organization has no class, no brain or whatsoever so this is not surprising. You won't see s--- like this happening anywhere else around the league.

Didn't surprise me either, but like kvp said I'm not sure why they didn't go after somebody with experience, especially when Thibs is literally sitting there for the taking. You fire a coach in his 2nd NBA season only to hire another rookie head coach? Don't see how Lue can make them any better in such a short amount of time.

I think he'll be a "yes man" coach and let the players run the show. Its too much ego down there to control it. He may be buddy buddy with LeBron on the sidelines (as an assistant), in practice or anywhere else, but being a head coach isn't about dapping the stars on the back and saying you did a great job.
