    he just comes out of nowhere to me, i warm up mid verse but the switch from rihanna's mumbling vocals to drake disrupts the flow a bit to me.

    I don't think its in disrespect to any great artists. It's just how he feels of himself and I see nothing wrong in that.

    it's okay if you disagree, your opinion is yours to have.

    but i mean, you at least recognize the argument right? i would be upset if my favourite artist didn't think they were the GOAT after a decade plus in the game and going on to their 7th album.

    floyd said it best when he said if you don't think you're the best in the game, you're in the wrong sport.

    naaa he already did that and succeeded with it, people will just say cole riding kanye's coattails and stuff if he does it again

    yeezus was a great opportunity to do it with, seeing as he already had his date one week later and kanye wasn't doing insane promo for the album, and that it was so experimental

    but kanye has already turned this album into more of a mainstream fiasco than yeezus, cole would just get overshadowed if he did that this time

    true, i guess its just my extreme disliking for yeezus that is taking over in my mind lol, that s--- just leaves a bad taste in my mouth

    if anything it really just shows how much i respect his pre-yeezus music and the standards i hold him to, so i guess that even proves your point further

    Nah, see it doesn't really matter what I think. It's the point that HE feels like that about himself. Which is dope. You have the choice to ignore his statement and disregard it.

    really fam? you'll hear it in this more than anything else:



    on top of that saying "the only opinion i care for is the 6 god's". it took me so long to get in to TRAPSOUL because all i could hear was a watered down drake. even to this day, i appreciate the project, but it's not a great record imo.

    someone said it best to me when they said "how do you fit so neatly into a sound that peaked 4 years ago"

    all love to @Bliss, i'm still a fan of bryson tiller, but i think he's a step behind roy woods, PND, Drake, and Majid Jordan because he hasn't discovered his own sound yet. he's a prospect in my eyes, not a fully fleshed out artist at this time. and that's not a bad thing, SFG was a mix of wayne and kanye.

    Also the @Mike Tyson the best in sports is way different than music.

    Sports is way more objective and easier to agree on. Music is subjective.

    I don't mind him thinking he's the best and thinking he's the greatest but I think Ye needs to prove rather than have to tell us. I can decide for myself if this is "album of life" but like I said I don't mind his thinking it just doesn't change anything for me.

    Clearly, Cole doesn't care what others think.
    I don't think he would get overshadowed. Just my opinion though.

    I would never deny Drake's influence. He's obviously a main influence. But I still feel like he possesses some qualities that Drake never did just like SFG was still unique in his own right.

    this next album should be the biggest of cole's career though, its not the time to risk getting overshadowed

    i understand where your coming from though, theme of the day is we are all entitled to our opinions

    i don't think that's true, even in the same sport it's hard to be objective with it. how is LBJ objectively better than MJ or vice versa? two different eras, two different positions etc.

    even with boxers of the same era, pacquaio fought and won in like 5 different weight classes, he took down dudes twice his size. floyd has a history of picking his fights, and ran for the last half of his career. but when he fought pacquaio (injured shoulder or not), he put on a clinic. how do you objectively say one is better than the other?

    music is the same way, the enjoyment of music is subjective, absolutely. i didn't enjoy TPAB at all, that's my opinion. but does that make it a bad project? no because there are objective qualities to music.
