    Judging by the majority of content on GKMC as well as the meaning behind "i" I'd say Kendrick is speaking to people who grew up in circumstances similar to his own rather than the black community as whole. He's not that short sighted to marginalize systematic racism like that.

    Well im one of those that like It Was Written more:biz:

    To me the Godfathers movies(1&2) are very serious movies, where Goodfellas is not only a serious movie but more like dark comedy, thats why i love it.
    But u right, both are amazing movies that will always be classics.

    The book is sensational. It literally is a gripping novel that you can't put down. Thrill & twist on each chapter

    I mean I have my moments where It Was Written is better to me honestly.
    Shade incoming :sad2:

    But yeah, Goodfellas is definitely more faceted with the comedy aspect but in my opinion from an overall standpoint I give it to the Godfather movies because cinematically speaking they're almost flawless. Like the way they're shot and the music and everything on top of the storyline.

    Interstellar was too much. The physics was a bit off key but the thought & fantasy of it all made it worth it. I love space & physics

    I kinda understand what he's tryna say about loving ourselves but at the end of the day, he's ignoring the ones that actually do and to say it like the majority of us don't, I don't agree with, either way we will still get steortyped

    The good thing about it is that it's not an in your face novel. The lines are spaced out larger than normal & it's a short book. But does the job.

    I like the whole thing honestly, my favourite run is that track 4 to 8 one tho.

    Back half is a bit slow, but its still pretty good.
