    AOTY for me.

    If Soul Food had that backing for promotion that would be a new hit of the new gen. Don't need that mainstream recognition to know that Krizzle is the best alive for me IMO.

    That girl is reall smart. She puts her foot in her mouth at times, but she is VERY smart and ridiculously talented. If she had a real Kanye consign she'd be huge, imo.

    I tried explaining this to so many people last night. It's funny how so many black social justice warriors don't understand the hood. He has to respond to all this hate quick though. He's losing fans quick.

    I mean he wasn't exactly specific. He should know the drill about speaking candidly to magazine reporters. But yeah I don't think he meant it the way its getting twisted. It's just unfortunate that it plays into the whole "Brown stole cigarellos so he deserved it" and "Brown was resisting arrest so he deserved it" storylines. I don't even want to get started into how f----- up public perception of that situation is. Rant averted.

    I think he was just trying to say that the issues are so much bigger than police brutality. Even if the cops stopped treating us like s---, there would still be issues going on in our community. Now, you can honestly say that all of these issues stem from the racist system that's been put into play far before any of us got here. That's true. However, if we're going to break out of this cycle as a people, we have to love one another and take care of each other. We can't continue to treat each other as enemies when there's a greater threat playing all of us. Let's come together and fight alongside each other. I truly believe that's all Kendrick was trying to say. He's never been the type to play up respectability politics.
