You're right, for 40 it's also a bit "easier" cause a lot of Drake stuff is dark and atmospheric, filtered type of sound which automatically gives you more room and freedom with mixes. With live instrumentation, or sample based music is much harder to achieve that. But both 40 and Ali are geniuses and game changing engineers.

Nothing is wrong with Cole's mastering, to me all his s--- sound clear, only project that sounds rough is Truly Yours 1, and Cole said that he released that without it being mastered, which explains it, and is one of the reasons I think it's the weakest of the 3.

Born sinner, I think it's just Cole's production has a certain sound on there and y'all might think it's the mastering. I think if 40 or Ali mixed Born Sinner it would sound the exact same.

FHD, I can tell they mastered it to be low sounding, cause when I play other s--- (including other Cole albums) the songs be loud, then when a song from FHD comes on it gets low, like a calm low, and I'll have to turn it up a bit, but the music is clear af though. I honestly don't know what y'all be hearing tbh. I think y'all just be saying s--- just to say it lol.

30 Hours is dope. Looking forward to hearing the album in mastered form.
