    Brother, he co-produced every song on Yeezus. I am confident the same will be true for this album.

    It doesn't matter if he came up with the original drum pattern, pre-and-post Kanye's input, these joints sound completely different. The same is true for J. Cole (who is a great producer).

    Yes you can't compare future to Cole. Different artists bring different context but to honestly say Ye isn't sold as a lyricist doesn't make any sense to me since his bars pre MBDTF are fire. No he's never been the most technically impressive but his writing has always been poignant and powerful. Again, I just said my expectations of good writing don't mean lyrical miracle s---. 808s is a beautifully written album and it's 80's influence pop s---. The writing wasn't just good period and cringe lines are cringe lines to me period.

    n----s say Ye ain't a lyricist but are talking about the guy who wrote the verses for Family Business, Jesus Walks, Never Let Me Down, Through the Wire and Last call on his first album alone.

    Just because he was a producer first doesn't mean Kanye never been a lyricist.

    do you really believe that he DID co-produce every song tho ? thats what they say but its like a ghostwriter, i think kanye has ghost producers ... idk maybe its just me as a skeptic but I'm not so sure kanye has the same passion for music he once did

    i bet even early kanye CD LR Grad days had people helping him produce but i still feel he had more of his own hand in coming up with the concept and making the beats from scratch

    now I just can't see him doing that in my head, but like i said I'm a skeptic

    with cole we've seen him make beats RECENTLY and he rarely even wants outside production for a couple tracks so i believe that it is truly him making these beats that are produced by him

    He did. That and Real Friends are fire. The bright spots of this whole album. But to find out NMPILA is bonus means that's not even a true song on the album. Meaning we are left with one song where Kanye actually tries.

    I liked 30 hours from the start but it really grew on me to the point where i feel like it needs to be on the album

    partly for what @Kold is saying it at least adds some lyrical content to the album
