    It is what is bro. At this point there is a very clear trend with a lot of Ye fans:
    Defend him for his actions musically and socially that others would get crucified for because he used to make classics.

    not everything is a lyrical exercise especially on a kanye album, its never been that. I understand there's cringeworthy s--- on here but if your expecting nas gospels on each song you have the wrong artist, he's never done that. The raps could be better i guess but i dont listen to him for lyrics alone, its a musical journey when you listen to this s---.

    Also take this as a sub post if you guys want, but here's the events from last night from the greatest streaming company (which I pay for a monthly subscription for btw) aka. tidaL
    1. It took them 30 minutes to release the album from when it was supposed to launch.
    2. When they did post it, the link 404'ed
    3. When they finally did get it right, everyone's stream crashed 15 minutes later
    4. They sold the album for $20.00 for an hour and then changed the price to half of that 45 minutes later, despite everyone buying it at the $20 price point.
    5. The version of the album Tidal sold had Fade labeled as Waves for some, others had Facts labeled as Fade. Others never got Fade at all.

    and i still dont get why the album was ever called Waves :srsguy:

    it had to have been part of kanye's marketing plan, him and wiz had that whole thing orchestrated

    I agree with this and that's what I was talking about with @Mike Tyson. I don't expect him to have 48 bars on some lyrical miracle s---. But with 808s you have a musical journey with beautiful songwriting and it's not even a rap album. I just want his writing to improve no matter the approach.

    Lol so much s--- happening, this is all hilarious.

    @Mike Tyson Ye's album is dope. I've only listened to it a couple times but it's pretty good. Unfortunately his bars are just getting worse, but boy this guy is one of the greatest artists ever. I still prefer MBDTF > TLOP but this has a lot of highlights. (Probably should've left a few things off though)

    @2014 Forever Lives JCN @Kold Are we in the middle of some Kanye/Cole cold war? Seems Dreamville loves throwing shots their way, and Kanye maybe threw shots with the I Love Kanye short.

    I agree, I don't even know if this album will fall in the top half of his discography, because dude has only dropped classics up until now.

    The album I reviewed was much different than the one we got, from the production, to the verses, to the features. Not one song is the same as how I heard it except Highlights.
