    But you're painting it as an either or scenario - a black and white situation. Your perception of music is subjective, but when judging it, theres a qualitative aspect to it too.

    Objectively speaking, GKMC is a better written, and better thought out album than The Heist. Subjectively speaking, The Heist makes me cringe.

    And objectively, you can 100% gauge an artist's ability to entice emotion (maybe not the degree of emotion). For example, objectively speaking, the tone, content and delivery of Be Free appeals on emotions more so than a record like Disgusting.

    There was no other way to prove to JB that So Appalled is dope and classic than this, but he eventually got it. So arguing this now would be useless, even if I'm wrong :idk:

    Blehhhhh, I enjoy reviewing music, but never once have I denied someone's opinion. (Unless it's some s--- that is incomprehensible like keef>cole) look, I think it's safe to say the FHD is working itself to the upper echelon of rap albums post-2010, however us cole Stan's have to respect who's there already. Being a basketball fan, I enjoy that use of comparisons so I'll say that MBDTF and GKMC are KD and Lebron, yet FHD is more like an Anthony Davis, if y'all catch my drift. Also do not try to convince others about music because music is an art, it's something that will make you feel a complete different way as opposed to someone else. Music is best listened to with an open mind, and if we all have that we could expose ourselves to Music that could eventually change our lives. To me, almost any musical opinion is valid because I cannot personally determine how each of you feels inside when listening to different music. But I love the debate, that's why I wanted to make sure we Try not to discredit eachother but rather continue open discussion

    dope, but while we on 50 i just wana say 21 questions is one of the greatest songs of all time across all musical genres in my opinion

    I completely agree. But it's not simple for me when I'm comparing two great albums in FHD and GKMC or So Far Gone and FNL. objectivity can only take you so far in comparison to your sport analogy.

    Cole is clearly influenced by 50 (especially his hook game) but I never hear him mention 50 in interviews. Also "I love you like a fat kid love cake and s---" reference in Sparks Will Fly is dope.

    I am glad more people here are realizing Cole just dropped a better album than Drake ever has. Not by much tho (FHD 8.5 NWTS 8.2) but this only the beginning
