    Thing that separated Cole and Kendrick was the use of their resources. Cole had so many connections and s--- when he first started out and didn't capitalize on it early in his career and it hurt him quality wise.

    Cole made it his way... He took the platform that Hov provided and became successful own his own basically. You have no choice but to respect that.

    What connections did K-Dot use early on? I don't really see 'em. n----- could have had Lady Gaga on his album but opted otherwise. Even the Recipe ft. Dre didn't do anything for K-Dot. It was a solo track that got him to pop off.
    Both Cole and K-Dot did it their way. The only thing that sacrificed Cole's albums early on was his need to please/prove himself to people by making hits/selling it a lot and all that s--- that doesn't matter as much as the actual music.
    He should have just kept making good music that was organic like back in the FNL and TWU days instead of forcing these so called "hit singles." Thats been the difference between him and Kendrick. Cole is back on track with FHD though.

    I don't really get the comparisons about bas/cole's sound from the likes of fantano and big quint. They're v different to me
