What he did in last year's finals was great and I won't take anything away from it, but the s--- he did with the Cavaliers teams back in the day was something else. Those teams had literally nobody's. Plus he was taking A LOT of shots which is understandable. Even last year's team had way more talent despite what the media says. Regardless, what he did for a few games was incredible and he carried that team but from what I've seen this year, who knows if he could do it again.

He was great but he's been even better. Still the point of all this for me is that Lebron's impact as of recent is a little overrated at least regular season wise. I know Lebron can still take it another level, but my eyes don't lie man. Especially on the defensive end. The guy is average on the defensive end straight up and thats never been the case.

I would not agree that it was a lot better without Kyrie and Love but it was a bit. You forget that LeBron goes in completely different zone when the playoffs come. And each round he elevates his game to a whole new level. When the playoffs come, LeBron is the best player on the planet. Which will be the case again in two weeks again. You can qoute me on that after the season is done.

I'll end with this. Lbj hasn't been he lbj of the past (because of the regular season and the regular season means jack s--- to his legacy). Steph is the best player on the planet. KD has played better than lbj this year but when they've played against each other, the BETTER player won. Once the playoffs start, his game will step up. You all will see.

No problem. I still think he's one of the greatest ever but his prime years are coming to a close. For a player that relies so much on athleticism, it's gonna be tough for him to stay at the god level y'all are expecting if he doesn't evolve his game. Even last year, Steph was better throughout the whole playoffs until the finals. Steph has improved drastically and gained more confidence so I expect him to learn from the finals experience and be even better. LeBron is about the same if not a little worse. I won't sleep on Lebron, but I expect Steph to continue to be the best player on the planet even after the regular season and post season but I'm not sleeping on Westbrook or KD, and the Spurs as a whole.

Fair enough. I won't argue what will happen when he loses some of his elite athleticism, but IMO he'll be at least 18-6-6 player until the end of his career. Can't wait for the playoffs.

Wow, JCN OG @KLD3816 had my back throughout this whole argument :wow5:

    Bron's career playoffs stats
notice the dip in PER, True Shooting, Win Shares (OWS, DWS, WS/48) and the main reason his counting stats increased because of the significant increase in USG%. He was not playing near his best basketball last playoffs.

Helllll no fam. Maaaybe KD but Steph no way. Lbj impact on a game is ridiculous. 2 of the teams he was on in the nba finals would've been lottery teams without him. The year he left Cleveland they were a lottery team, Miami missed playoffs season he left. Golden state still solid without Steph and okc almost made the playoffs in a stronger western conference without KD when he was hurt. Lebron is literally the best point guard in the league, and the best small forward. And on top of that he will lock up ur best player. fam, all those teams got smoked in the finals. it's not like they actually won lol. he carried them through some horrible eastern conferences (by playing great). but that s--- was still handicapped for him to make it there no matter what. see my post from above. saying how bad a team without a players is just really flawed. let's look at how many games that player improves the team and then actually adjust it for competition. Bron is no more valuable when you look at that way than KD or Steph.

edit: there are ways to measure impact on games like net ratings, win shares, RPM, etc, etc.

Lebron can't lock up anyone right now. KD actually a better defender than him. He's still a huge impact player but without steph and KD the warriors and Okc still have more talent. Doesn't mean they still don't have a high impact and thats the reason Westbrook couldn't get OKC to the playoffs last year with out him. He ain't a better PG than Chris Paul (especially if you are talking in the traditional sense), Steph or Westbrook, and he's not a better small forward than KD this year.

Thats the one thing. I feel like every player gets a pass with something.
Curry its usually being lazy/careless with the ball.
KD is for being too passive (even though he's definitely been criticized for it)
    And with LeBron its defense.

Some games I watch the cavs and he doesn't even try on defense. Anytime he switches on to steph whether it was the finals or this season, n----s would clear out because LeBron doesn't even stand a chance.

That quickness is fading and I really hope he decides on a course of action quick either
    a) Lose more weight and become slimmer to compensate
    b) Gain even more lower body/core strength and just live at the block (better option imo).

Exactly. KD becomes null and void at the end of the game every time they play

Curry didn't even win finals mvp. He has decent games vs Cleveland. That team is just something else overall. Also, KD lbj play the same position. That's why I mentioned lbj destroys him head to head.
