Ye I really feel Cole will be dropping in like 1-2 months max ... its no coincidence he's posting pics the day of views ... i haven't really been thirsting for new cole tbh but the first listen of views was getting me hyped for what cole will drop next ... i feel it presents a great opportunity for cole ...

SO AS FAR AS VIEWS ... not that it is bad by any means but it is definitely not flawless

tbh i love it and will be listening to it for a long time there is no denying that ... but at the same time i could see it coming on before the album even dropped - the major flaw is that he uses that same flow for almost every song now ... the one where he raps one line then pauses for a couple seconds n then raps quick again, i think literally 14-15 of the 20 songs have that as the primary delivery, almost all the ones where he raps at all ... thats the biggest flaw of the album imo

theres also a lot of random pauses at the end of songs, usually 40 is GOAT at creating vibes out of those types of things but in this case i feel a lot of it just sounded like some awkward silences, like they didn't really add much imo ... cuda cut out like 3-4 minutes from the album just taking that out

also disappointed that he changed the "views from the 6" (second part of u with me) beat, it never really got to the part from the leaked version which was fire to me and that he cut popcaan from control!!? why? i liked that he added more of himself but he didn't have to cut popcaan out completely ... hate when artists change leaked songs just for the sake of changing them, not cause they are making them better

obviously I'm focussing on the flaws, theres a lot of things that i loved too, tbh it was mainly the bangers that i was feeling - 9, u with me, hype, still here, grammys (shut a had a second drake verse on the beat switch), views ... i found a lot of the rnb type songs didn't really do much for me, maybe just cause its the first listen tho

i really do have to stress this is off just one listen but i don't think my feelings will change that drastically

maybe I've just outgrown RnB drake and grew to like the new ignorant b-----r drake that much

ps - I can definitely hear Too good to you being a legit radio smash, like mainstream top 40 on the radio ur mom listens to ... if one dance doesn't give drake his first number 1 i think that song can do it

Just speculating. He's headlining several festivals, cardo interview, was supposed to drop Feb but now Beyonce and Drake albums are out of the way, etc..

Oh yeah and I'm sorry but off first listen keep the family close is the worst drake album opener to date

its a decent song but not feeling it as the opener for VIEWS the album we been waiting years for

u gota set the tone man and that just lowered expectations off the bat, maybe it was done on purpose who knows

s--- just sounded like drakes attempt at making earned it by the weeknd tbh lol

So am I the only one that ... while listening to views... I appreciated just how good FHD was?

I mean, I can't comment on Views yet, need to sit with it more... but All I could think about was the first time I heard FHD and just how special it made me feel.

I didn't get that off first listen to Views... but I know there are some gems on there.

That is something at I think Cole Knows, he is very smart about song placement. He understands that concept very well, I think.

i listened to it twice and this is my review for Views.

I REALLY like this album, I want to say it's excellent.
The vibe was great.

However, Pop Style should've been a bonus and Grammys should've been kept in the vault or to the recycle bin. These 2 songs caused the album to lose it's structure at the end.

I liked a lot of the tracks, don't really have a favorite tbh.

Man I'm so glad we have J. Cole to balance music like views out. I take Drake for who he is, so I wasn't disappointed with the album at all. I actually loved it. Weston Road Flows and U With Me gave me chills, esp U With Me hook. That hook was so simple but set the song's mood so accurately.

But this just explained to me why I love Cole/Kendrick so much. They try to push hip hop forward, not try to alter it (like what Drake does, which I'm completely cool with). With that being said, FHD first listen >>>> Views first listen... but maybe I'm biased cuz of the whole being the only person with the CD thing
