    I just got done listening to Drake's interview with Zane Lowe, and basically said the same thing. He said he's not a storyteller at all

    Yeah I had that in mind. Great interview. He even said he just can't do it like that and I respect that. I just feel like people would go crazy if he made a song from his moms perspective or his cousins from Memphis or something like that.

    I think my problem is that I've grown in a different direction than Drake and his music isn't as accessible to me. So much of what makes him "Drake" revolves around his introspection into his own persona and lifestyle and he isn't as interesting to me anymore from that perspective. The bangers and hits all sound great but the album lacks a personality that draws me back. I've had to force myself to listen to the album, rather than it being an enjoyable listen that keeps my attention. I'm sure certain things will grow on me like most Drake albums, but I have to say this is a tier below his best work. The production and mixing are incredible but outside of that, nothing has developed forward. Album feels like a B-Sides to IYRTITL outside of a few tracks.
