    I get this and I see your point, but this is the same thing we have said about every artist ever. I think at least.

    50 is a gangsta, he is from the hood.
    Jay is a hustler, he made it out.
    Pac was a thug, He got b------s.

    Now, those might not be the best examples. And I know that they each came with different subject matter.

    Drake does all that. He built his own lane, he is the King of introspective, how can you knock someone for not being in the lane they created?

    Agree 100%. A majority wanted a switch up, he gave us IYRT & WATTBA. Then ppl wanted old Drake and he gaves us exactly that, mixed with some of the new s--- he's been on for the past year or so.

    Length doesn't bother me too much but oddly enough I would've cut the same songs as you. Not bad by any means but definitely seem out of place.

    I feel you. I completely get where your coming from. 50 cent is kinda of the extreme when it comes to not evolving. He really got stale and never adapted quick enough even though lately he's had some nice songs. He's definitely carved his own lane but if you are gonna stay in that lane, the least you could do is evolve with your perspective. No one is saying he can't talk about love, but how have his opinions/outlook on love changed since Take Care? Not that much and that's a worthy criticism imo even though I enjoy the album.

    I get that. I guess since Drake is still talking about Love not working out and him being heartbroken venting. He should be moving on, I get it.

    I guess when you break it down like that. I know that Drake gets b------s tho... so even him talking about love and his heartbreak I dont believe.

    I think Nas' Life is Good ... was a great way of showing progression.

    Worthy Criticism tho... :daps:

    I'm not just defending Drake cause I think this album is a Classic.

    I just think that he has given us different types of music.

    I still think that FHD is better than this.... and that even Take Care is better than this...

    I think it was long and benefited from being condensed.

    This is pretty random, but I was just thinking about this old "Cole L's" thread from JCN.

    It said something like "Let's sit Indian style and count the many L's of J. Cole" and there was like a list of 50 L's so far in his career. :dead3:

    I know we have Cole L's thread here, but that was probably one of the funniest threads ever.

    So Vibe did another interview asking Nia Long about J. Cole saying she would pick him over K. Dot and Drake but she also repeated the same sentiment saying:
    "Cole shouldn't underestimate the power of being a young, rich successful rapper"



    Yeah bro Cole is definitely in shambles. He gotta hear all these invitations but he already too locked down. Smh. Plus she getting married soon. Lmao.
