    People say Tory's album is generic but deem Blonde a classic. The entire album sound like one track. I'm baffled :50:

    Just my opinion, but Tory sounds like other artists a lot. Kinda how charlamagne said he sounds like fetty wap, drake, party etc. And that's the "generic" sound right now. But to be fair I only gave his album a couple listens. Much like you mightve only given Frank's album a couple listens. It's all preference fam.

    I respect that fam. I understand now. He definitely sounds like drake. Don't listen to fetty and I don't see the party similarity. Generic or not, IMO his album is fire. He's a way better artist than fetty. His album is better than PND's. Generic, copying, whatever adjective someone wants to use to describe his album is fine with me. I listen to music for the music. If it moves me and it rides, I'm all for it. I respect everyone's opinions though.

    I feel this. Like kvp said it's all a matter of preference.
    but these are two woat albums to compare imo. the only thing they have in common is they dropped around the same time.
    frank really talking about some real, deep race issues, sexuality issues, relationship issues and how his views changed as he matured. Not to sound like a j cole fan but I really needed at least 5 listens to grasp some of the s--- he was portraying in some of these songs. I didn't have to do this with no tory lanez project. not that it makes one project better than the other just goes to show how different they are artistically.

    I cried three times today listening to frank ocean btw
