    So I'm the last person to deny someone else's success (apart from Trump's) but Chance's level of success is almost too unbelievable. There must be some truth to the whole industry plant thing when u look at it, he's been to the white house, kit-kat commercials, snl (I think) etc. etc. Like for an independent artist it's crazy.
    A good comparison would be KRIT who also ran independent for a long time, released quality project after quality project with positive messages and virtually got no shine outside of well-versed hip hop heads. A lot of it is prolly to do with his country roots etc where he's just not that marketable. Whereas Chance almost comes across as a kids tv show character, so inoffensive and harmless that the industry can't help but eat it up and promote him.

    Again I'm definitely not trying to devalue his success cos I like his music and he's a great artist but the level of exposure that he's gotten just got me scratching my head.

    Been a Chance fan since Acid Rap but it's becoming obvious he's an industry plant. I also find it weird how he switched up his whole persona with Coloring Book. Seems fake af

    Seriously though, to your point. I like Cole, I wanted him to get a Grammy long ago, but it is kinda funny seeing others of his generation, Chance/Kendrick/Drake win grammy's but Cole not get any. Especially Chance, since I think he's so overrated.
