    lol I'm the biggest KRIT fan on this forum, but KRIT is so much more limited artist than Chance that s--- ain't even comperable. If we're bashing Cole for not ever stepping out of his comfort zone, this dude KRIT is the champion of that s---. Dude can't make a beat without putting a southern cowbell on it. Chance is so much more talented and diverse with his music, with appeal to the mainstream and OG hip hop listeners.

    And y'all funny with this industry plant s---, there ain't such thing as industry plant. This is 2017, the internet age. People choose and make their own trends.

    i agree with this for the most part but a couple artist got me curious

    khalid, russ, 6lack are on every discover and new music playlist on spotify and apple music to help position them. and none of them really have an original sound either, they're all borrowing off a successful soundscape

    I don't know bro, but talking from my personal experience, there are thousands of A&R's out there looking for new talent every day. If someone catches their attention, they approach him and they get into talking. s--- that is popular right now is this so called "distribution deals", where you don't sign to any label but do a deal with streaming services to help you promote your stuff. From there on, it's all in people's hands. 2017 s---, new rules :idk:

    word i'm with that, plus i don't see why young thug isn't a superstar yet if labels could really do that.

    but mid range artists like 6lack and khalid and them confuse me because every casual knows them and is a fan, almost like they don't know how to discover music outside of what streaming services tells them to listen to.

    This is exactly what it's happening today. People won't go anymore on youtube or websites to find new artists, they'll go straight to Apple, Spotifly, etc. Labels found a way to make make profit of that. Then you have Chance the Rapper, who isn't an industry plant, just blessed to be in his prime in a streaming services era.

    I don't understand why Young Thug isn't bigger either, but hopefully that changes soon.

    Man, I don't even know how Blossom is getting all these big names lol. I'm not complaining. I'm going to see Chance when he comes to town. Now all I need is J. Cole to announce a tour and that is coming here, then I'll be set.

    Yeah you're right. He's too proud of his roots but I respect that also. Yeah I wouldn't call him a plant but the forces in the industry are def giving him a much greater platform than anyone else in his position

    yea, it was clear he should've won that, and most people would agree, except the grammy people. album had a bigger impact than all those albums
    tpab sound like some s--- that would win a grammy tho, old white people music.

    at least he did win Billboard RAOTY and hip hop awards AOTY. i think the hip hop awards is more credible anyway when it comes to the culture. f--- a grammy, i dont even watch that s---

    hope this new future dont be the same ol metro boomin s---. if it is im not gon complain, but future been doing that same sound since DS2, in my mind i lowkey already think iknow what this s--- gon sound like. and thats a shame
