    Does anyone know of any original artists who produce tracks like Controlla, Madiba riddim and Blem? I rock with these tracks but I'm sure Drake's imitations must be nothing compared to the real thing

    Actually, those aren't so called "imitations", "rip offs" or whatever you wanna call em, production on those usually more polished than the ones in the dancehall genre. It's just inspired by it, therefore I doubt you will find something exactly like if it doesn't come from Drake or 40/Boi-1da/T-Minus. But yes I can give you a few dancehall songs so you can check em out









    or as I already posted about this hip-hop/rnb dude named J-Soul on the come up with dancehall influence



    If you want more, let me know. Dancehall is the genre I listen to the most for almost a year now.

    @Bliss Hndrxx Appreciate it. d--- Maleek Berry that dude. Been rocking the 4 me track for a while. I always thought dancehall was like harder club music and more aggressive than controlla etc. Maleek's discog and the drake tracks I mentioned before got a lot more rnb vibe to it

    Yessir, his whole EP "Last Daze of Summer" still dope. He and Wizkid are my favorites. Yea, I agree bout that last sentence. It's hard to achieve that minimalistic sound tho. The production is simple af, but atmospheric and catchy with a lot of room for the singer to do his thing. That's why it isn't over saturated. It takes skill for it.

    Can't believe that I already listened to this album more times than Views. It has everything. Some UK rap/grime, summer island vibes, bangers, love songs and they are placed nicely. Just when you about to hit the snooze after a slow song, he comes in with a b-----r.
