    Kenny going the route of Drake and Cole with melodic flows. Drake and Cole have been doing that for awhile. I think Cole is the best at that...especially with his melodic outros (Cold Blooded with Yo Gotti, deja Vu, 2 citiez and others). Kenny is a more eccentric Cole. I can see why some don't f--- with his voice and unorthodox flow...it seems scattered at times. But get them both on a collab album it's the best of both worlds. More traditional voice with aggressive but melodic flows mixed with straight to the jugular approach by Kenny and now he can mix in melodies

    Ok Jermaine who? Seriously this thread needs to be renamed. J Cole is obsolete after listening to this album man. Definitely feel like this is gonna have a lot of replay value off first listen. So much detail and variety in these songs. @Bliss Hndrxx the details and switch-ups on these beats are something else, the production caught me by surprise wow. Kdot shut down the game

    Crazy bro. The production on this, they did the same s--- I do with my beats most of the time to give it that "dark-atmospheric vibe". It's crazy, I love this, unbeliavable. And listening to "Pride" and hearing that part "maaaaybee I wasn't theeeereee" literally puts a knife through my soul, it gets me mad emotional b and I don't get emotional. This new side of Kendrick we got might be my favorite side of him we got so far.

    I wouldn't say its a "dark" album like tpab but it has its moments. One of the few areas I put Cole above kdot is bringing emotion out of you on a song but I think with this album, kdot's reached his level

    But if you cut out the skits it loses value.
    I too liked it on the 1st listen which wasnt the case for an album in few years.

    It's not dark by any means, I meant that more as how they made those samples and instruments to just compliment the vocals. They don't overpower any song. This album provoked far more emotion in me than 4YEO ever did, and 4YEO was specifically made to do just that. And again, this album sounds nothing alike as his last 2 albums. You just gotta applaud and appreciate this man.
