Bruh, I just realized Cole released FNL more than 6 years ago ago and that with twu are the only reason he's still in the conversation.

People just can't understand that music is subjective. You have people in here apologizing for their opinions. It's totally fine to not like what everyone else loves. One thing I hate is the constant comparisons. You can't talk about Drake without mentioning Kendrick or Cole and vice versa. It's so annoying.

Hip hop is unique in that sense. It's all about competition. Who's the best rapper, who's the hottest. I can appreciate Cole, Kendrick and Drake for what they bring to music but if one guy gets a W, it's an L for the others

Look, Kenny is dope. d---. is flames. Definitely prefer it to TPAB. But it's obvious he fits the alternative/"out of the box" style that quite a few critics love. It's his voice, animated antics on the mic and certain style of experimental production. Nothing against him because I like Kenny and appreciate his work...but it's obvious that's what some critics look for. Same with danny brown (voice and psychedelic hip hop) and Kanye (style and production). It's cool for white dudes who are into indie/psychedelic rock to like that kind of hip hop. They eat it up. That's why he gets A+ reviews from certain outlets. But casusual, everyday hip hop fans mostly prefer Drake and Cole. Some casual fans are turned off by Kenny. Most critics prefer him though. Who's to say who is truly better? Everyone's opinion counts. The past 10 years or so... rappers who go the more traditional route rarely get universal praise from those critics. Even if they sell millions, sell out arenas, are melodic, catchy and have socially conscious songs that are relatable. I think Kenny, Drake and Cole are all dope in their own way and are easily the three titans of the new era. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. We're lucky to have them in the game right now. I enjoy listening to all three.

d---. and 4YEO doc back-to-back = good as h--- for hip hop. Best of both worlds. Plus Drizzy dropped this year. All three voices are important to the game.

I think kendrick is a rare breed tho. He gets all the critical acclaim in the world, hip hop heads love him, and the general public loves him too. I think d--- will do over or near 500k first week. Hes a full circle artist, similar to Andre 3000/Kanye/Wayne etc. It almost feels wrong to lump him in with any of the new artists cause he's much better. I think drake and cole are closer to one another in terms of skill and what not. Kendrick in a different world.

No doubt. He is dope as h---. These days I just think there's a disconnect with some critics and the hip hop community....just like @ady said a couple days ago. I value the hip hop community and its fans more so than those critics.

Anyway, now that their fourth albums have dropped...collab album is next....2019 guaranteed. 1 mill first week guaranteed.

    You can't vibe to it?

    Not feeling the word play?

Cause I could see how some songs get bogged down... but others are crazy bangers. Like they are musically powerful.
