n-----, I just can't vibe with this s---. Its not my type of s---. To many weird voices, s--- just wack bruh :lmaooo:

I actually was looking forward to hearing the s---. But, its just another weird a--- kdot album. :idk:

Ive had this opinion on kdot for years.

Everybody was saying he killed ato2c beat , but I was like where? He was just saying a whole bunch of nothing b.

Rappers rap about other rappers all the time — subliminal insult, direct attack — but rarely from a place of love. “That speaks to the state of us as a people,” he said. “For so long my mind state was, I have to show how much better than the next man I am through these bars. Who’s the best? Let me prove it. And it’s just like, d---, I’m really feeding into a cycle of keeping black people down, I’m really feeding into that.”

    On some real s---... wow!

If you don't see that, I feel bad. I'm not black, but as a minority... I see we have to big each other up not bring each other down.

This man is educated and grown... we could all learn a thing or two... society tells us we need this or that... But we don't cause it's just a gimmick ... it's what they want you to believe.

Just finished reading it. Powerful s---...

Can't believe how real it makes 4YEO now...

I can never talk about this man again. He is human, he is a father and he is trying to big up his culture and his people... what more could you want?

He wouldn't be this big and a voice of the people without his music though. It has connected with ppl for d--- near 10 years now. f--- the wannabe Twitter comedians and their tired jokes and f--- certain out of touch critics. The people and culture are still f---ing with Cole and that's all that matters. Only a select few rappers can truly connect with a wide range of fans like Cole.

And I hate to sound like a captain save a hoe... but...

His music is real. We always wondered what longevity would sound like...

    He's 32, ... Pac died at 26, Big was 25 I think...

Cole aint on that happy s--- cause life aint happy right now. People getting kilt by the people who is supposed to protect us...

Look who is in "Control" right now...

It's like the whole Oscars thing... how can LALA win best picture... when real s--- is going on. If you want to play pretend and sing and dance and shine and ball out coo, but that s--- aint life.

It's hard out here and we as a people need to come together on some real human s---.

Anyways... I'm gonna go get drunk... hahah yall be good. I'll be back on later.

    :colerly:

Cole is still a beast in his own right, his lack of a "classic" album shouldn't detract that. His discography is right up there with Kendricks when you take into account all of his loose songs, unreleased tracks, and features, plus his own production which has improved. I'm still a big Cole fan, and 4YEO is still dope. He's gotten better as an artist and he's found his own lane.

With that said, Kendrick is dope too. He's great. I think he's overrated though, at times he really is just rapping fast and not saying much, but he's proved himself in many ways. His beat selection has been top notch recently too and he's out there with his ideas, usually delivering on them.

Drake is the LeBron of the game. Enough said on him. These guys give us different s---, it's great. At least I'm glad to be a fan of all three.

Now if only Cole x Kendrick would drop...

I don't think so really. I think he is trying to promote the doc and album. But never know with him.

    I don't expect he'll retire anytime soon.

He seems to be in a happy place. I think he will make feel good music next time around. The way he's enjoying life will reflect that in his music. And of course he will continue to use his platform for social/political commentary. A solid balance of content.
