    Yup you summed up everything I'm feeling too. The stan in me wants to defend and calmly rationalize whatever the h--- Kanye getting himself into...but it just doesn't align with my own (hate to say it but "political") views. I'm just hoping this episode passes by and hopefully one day Ye will look back at this and laugh "remember when I was making millions of ya'll mad!"

    Yea I literally hate politics and have never paid any mind to them. I think they really divide people who otherwise wouldn’t have a problem with each other. With that being said, I still manage to hate trump because he transcends politics with his bs. He represents everything wrong with the world. Like you said, hopefully this is just a poorly thought out phase without any real substance to it

    IMO, this is less about politics and more about kanye showing the world just how dumb he truly is. He tries his best to come off as this intellectual and philosopher and to be honest, he's not bright. He May be a musical savant but the buck stops there. He clearly stated he hasn't researched what a conservative is to align himself with the right wing.

    Yea, I mean anyone who looked to Ye to give them some sort of intellectual insight wasnt looking deep enough into the rest of the world lol. I get his “I flipped the MAGA hat and made it about unity and peace” point, but it just falls flat because it’s off base. This isn’t, as he put it in the new song, as if he’s ending the pointless fueds between bloods and crips by showing unity. He’s literally wearing a hat endorsing a man spewing hate every chance he gets. This isn’t a pointless fued, there’s actually a reason to not be unified with trump. So, in that aspect he’s being dumb. However, I wouldn’t go as far as to call him a dumb person. He’s not a philosopher or critical thinker by any means, but he’s a once in a lifetime musical artist and some one that is so in tune with pop culture and has the ability to change it, maybe like no one we’ve ever seen.

    Sort of relevant: One thing I find myself thinking about quite often is, what’s more important in this world, someone who directly changes someone’s life through their music (or anything else that an individual would attribute to making a positive impact on their life), or someone out there advancing society with brilliant discoveries that gets no public recognition, and therefore doesn’t directly/knowingly affect people’s lives?

    I'm a hopeless Puff stan too, him and Andre Harrell ushered in a new era in urban music during the 90s, Biggie would have never reached the commercial heights he did if Puff wasn't dancing around and yelling at The Hitmen & Trackmasters to put some more gloss on the beats.
