Other than cole, I would say ari Lennox

I really judge how big an artist is by if people I know from around here listen to them or is aware of them.. and ari Lennox get a lot of play from females around here. People from around here be slow to hop on certain music, if it ain’t no trap s--- you usually don’t hear about it, unless you talking to some real hip hop heads.. like only certain type n----s know jid.. but if you say nba young boy or rod wave, they be on that lol.. Ari Lennox on the other hand get hella radio play down here, BMO wasn’t no big billboard hit , but it def put a lot of people on to her. Her next release gon be interesting to watch, cause I think it’s gon really be her breakout album fr

Just like with lute and rapsody, they from Nc, but n----s not on them like that down here, which is kind of sad.. rapsody from the 252 and is signed to jay z but no one really knows her, which be baffling to me, cause people from around here really support our own, even if they ain’t from the same town, if you from the 252 area code, and make it big, you get hella support (Brandon ingram, Reggie bullock, Todd gurley, Montrez Harrell etc) only certain people know rapsody.. but if she rapped about certain type s--- she would get more support lol.. same with lute..

Dababy is an example, that n----- is from Charlotte, that’s like a 4 or 5 hour drive from the 252, but n----s around here love him like he from around here, that n----- probably ain’t never heard of this town lol..

Cole is like a bridge that n----- music is in between, he make conscious music , but he got hits, and can get on some ratchet s--- and talk his s--- sometimes, lmfaooo that’s why he big in Nc

I still think Dreamville needs some young talent to grow and develop. Cole is probably going to retire soon and there's no one on the current roster that can keep the torch lite.

Ohh I see why that Earthgang song is on there. It’s not really an album worthy track. It’s not bad and it’s good promotion...fitting for a video game soundtrack but not album worthy.

Ain’t hear that Lute cut yet. Is it better than the Earthgang one?

Climb back beat is so dreamy. Yet so hard.. boom bap with a lil trap element, 90s like but 2020 sound.. inspiring for me, cause I’m getting deeper into beat making, ima perfect this s--- for sure. I get so now I be listening to n----s beats more than anything now, really trying to hear s--- and catch sounds. I be hearing some of these beats be hella basic, then you got some that got many layers and sounds to them
