Yea, same. Wale too for me, I don't like him, but both were great on this. Need more of this pop-ish rap on the radio instead of just trap.

Yeah, I hear too much trap on Hip Hop nation on Sirius XM when I listen to it. Need that Nelly style pop rap to make a splash on the radio again. I'd rather hear that than trap.

That is actually great music as far as I'm concerned, at least it had some diversity. Nowadays it's pretty much all the same with trap

Tbh I think it's just a matter of preference. Imo that type of rap with Nelly and all them is my least favorite type of music I've ever heard, tho I do absolutely agree that they need more variation in trap. But between Drill, the various subsets of ATL trap, darker stuff like Travis, and alt trap like Ferg, I think it's a matter of the radio and not the scene

Tbh you're right on this second part. I do like trap tho, just not too much. For instance, I'm a big Mustard fan, which isn't trap exactly but it is some sub-genre of it. So what you said is true.

Yeah man, I won't lie it's probably because I've been growing up listening to this scene, but I think trap is the best wave in mainstream rap music between g-funk, club rap, poppy RnB rap, swag rap, and trap. Could bump that s--- for days

Same was with me back in the days with G-Funk and pop rap, I love that s--- to death. But I have stretches where I just bump trap for a week or two straight. That's what's beautiful about hip hop tho, you won't find that much variety anywhere else.
