After giving this album a few spins, I'm thinking whatever song Kendrick might have made with the St. Tropez beat would have fit nicely in a few places. Dot on that beat would've been cash.

I need to sit with the album a bit more.... but I know what he was doing with the album and I like it.

@Criza did you see the finale of Eye Candy?

Disappointing that the season was only 10 episodes long. Weird they got to the resolution of who the killer is so fast, they could have easily made that last a little longer.

At first with them finding out Jake is the killer at first I thought there was no chance at a second season, but we still have no clue what happened to her sister after the fake kidnapping. A lot of questions still remain unanswered and I don't think Jake was working alone.

This is one f----- up show.

Also... the way the album ends is amazing!

I feel that this album makes me appreciate Kendrick even more and shows just how much of a masterpiece GKMC was. If that makes sense...

And last but not least.... Cole's line "Ever poet just wants to be loved" speaks to me even more now...

this album was good, first listen
i think it's one of those really good albums with no replay value
i can't see myself playing this front to back many times

has some nice tracks on it though that i'll be playing

Better than both Drake's and Kendrick's latest projects, as well as Lupe's and Joey's Although Drake is about to bless us with a real one later this year and I have to sit more on this new Kendrick. FHD probably won't get a Grammy nomination tho.

I would grade this new Kendrick project, but I feel like giving it something before 10-15 listens would be unfair. Problem is, I already heard 2-3 songs in my 3 listens that don't have that much replay value for me, even with all that great lyricism and his introspectives. Production is mostly phenomenal tho, just would prefer a few switch ups here and there as far as energy goes. When "The Blacker The Berry" came, s--- was refreshing, Complextion - that - You Ain't Gotta Lie is my favorite stretch on the album. Also, this album made me appreciate more what Cole and Drake are doing and their ability to sing and harmonize with the beat, cause Kendrick has all the right melodies in his head but just can't do it like them IMO. Obviously, the songwriting of his is superior to both of them. The album will probably sit between 7.5 - 8.0 when it's all said and done. Nobody really expected that it will be close to S.80 and GKMC, at least I didn't but I hoped he will prove me wrong, which he didn't. That's my real opinion fam Cole x Kendrick album is gonna be top 5 album of all time if it ever happens.

FHD definitely getting snubbed.
Kanye, Drake, Macklemore, Kendrick, and Nicki will all get the nod over him and I could even see someone like lupe getting a nom over him since lupe has gotten nominations in the past. Don't really care that much anymore though.
