Is this a f---ing drake thread? And go back a few pages, I START this convo by saying that Drake is even worse to blame because he used to be good at including the entire narrative and has started to fall off in that aspect

My question is why is he implying what he is implying? He can have these deep views about materialism and race and write great songs about that but he can't view women as anything more than hoes and not hoes? I mean, he's still my favorite rapper for other reasons but as a woman, when I don't feel as though we are getting a proper view from men, I get to a point where I can't just accept it and I have to say something.

simply put, it should b pretty clear that he is not painting these woman as one way or another on these songs like u claim he does, he paints the entire picture and shows the woman hes rapping about to be complex beings with multiple sides like any other character in his songs including himself

That's a phenomenal point and it's refreshing to hear a different way to look at what he's saying. It definitely raises a whole different topic with women & hip-hop since it's historically dominated by men and rarely have we had a point of view like your example. Every once in awhile we do have great songs like this

In this song, she cheated on her man to be with COLE. So yes, COLE gets to decide. It's his story. I get that you like to make some post to start a healthy convo, but that doesn't make this particular post any better

i had a similar argument a few weeks back on jcn about cole's obsession with getting head punchlines, he use's it on any song regardless of the subject matter. One girl responded saying she didnt mind it and she would give him head in real life. some j. cole fans dont care others do.
