I agree this is selling more because it's better, but it's also selling more because he's bigger and he's an important voice in hip hop right now.

And quality doesn't always outsell everytime. The heist (even though I like some joints) sold way more than born sinner and the new classic by iggy is the second best selling hip hop album. Higher sales don't necessarily equal higher quality.

I agree, but I meant when we had that discussion why he didn't and when will he go platinum. I believe if he dropped this as his sophomore, he'd go Gold in 3 weeks, guaranteed. He always had what it takes, just released subpar music which no one really talked about and the sales stopped at one point. This is different, this feels like GKMC, people are spreading word about the album every new day cause the music is great, that's the right way.

Celebrities, people I know, people my people know.. I seen b------s who never heard of Cole and don't even listen to rap post Love Yourz and Wet Dreamz. That same thing was with Swimming Pools and b---- Don't k--- My Vibe. Dudes who f--- around heavy with underground hip hop approved this (remember, this has a lot of singing). I think that's enough for me to think it's way better received than Born Sinner ever was.

All very dependent on who you follow and who you know

Isn't the biggest difference in sales contributed to first week and streams? Unless you're saying the leak was so mass consumed and well received that it made a 60k difference in first week sales.

Out of my closest circle of people, no one listens to hip hop. I have max 30 people on Facebook who listen to it, other 270 don't, so

I don't necessarily aim at that, but leak surely helped as it was thought it would. As I said, mouth to mouth is the best way to get those sales up. We must not forget it was Christmas time also, so we'll see how he'll do in the upcoming 2-3 weeks.
