Idk I'm a big fan of B, so I know that she's honestly been riding the feminist wave since Destiny's Child. It just wasn't called feminism and it wasn't the "in" thing back then. In fact, I remember her constantly being labeled as a male basher & receiving a good amount of backlash. The media loooooooves her feminist message now though :comeon:

I think her fans and the women in the industry who are influenced by her are missing the ball with her message though. It's not really her fault because she's such a huge star so of course the media is going to pervert everything she's doing and turn it into something else. I've even seen feminism turned into a competition lmao. Some publication was pitting Beyonce's feminism against Emma Watson's. That's what I mean by social issues are being turned into something really ugly. It's like everyone's playing a game of who can be the best person for rewards and recognition, rather than simply being a great person because it's the right thing to do.

No beyonce slander will be accepted in any form. Lets not mention her in this feminism talk.

The feminist movement and the word "feminism" has been around for decades but I agree between 2nd and 3rd wave feminism, people haven't been using the word because it was like a "bad word" like "oh, don't say feminist that offends people!" :0
I guess it bothers me when the media gets into it and makes it a trend because its Beyonce and B is trendy, right? I also think some of her fans only get involved with it when it relates to her...:emoji_cry:

I feel like we're on the heels of living in a world where girls are busting it open at age 14 and using boys for monetary gain and justifying it with feminism. It's a scary time to have a daughter. These girls are out here confused and it's not even their fault. Men have backed them into this corner through years of oppression and abuse.

I still wish that you ladies would find more intelligent ways to fight back though. Y'all are smarter & all around better people than us. Show it.

Definitely. We have come a long way, there's no denying that. That's the one thing I believe Beyoncé deserves credit for. She pretty much single handedly ended feminism being taboo.

Her fans in general are the devil.

We are, but those girls know they're lost little thotties. I think one day girls, and their mothers, won't see anything wrong with using sexuality as a weapon. It'll be celebrated.

They refer to her as God :lawd:
I still feel that whenever the media decides the social conscious train is no longer trending, that it will become taboo again.

And don't get me wrong, I like me some Beyonce. Flawless is my s---!:kobe:

Us girls learn from a young age that sexuality and the ability to be desirable is valuable and is a weapon. Not to control men but to invoke envy into another b----'s soul. :kanye3:
Doesn't help when your hormones are going nuts while at school...
But I don't think it will ever get to the point of girls that young using sexuality for money as long as we teach our girls not to be in unnecessary competition and not to be materialistic.
