I could do without more posthumous Pac music...speaking of which this is probably my favorite one. RIP to J Dilla who produced it too

I'm not bored of TPAB, it's just not very replay worthy to me. Currently on the Wale and Luda album tho. Gonna cop both.

Imma put you guys onto some DOPE Seattle hip hop.

The group is called Blue Scholars, this is a pretty accurate definition of Seattle sound and soul:

    Semi sober thoughts*

Jammin gkmc and i realize how it's got a little of everything which makes it more enjoyable than tpab for me. I can jam some of that shot while hanging with the homies, but i can also just be by myself with headphones jamming some deep s---. N put it on at the gym... Cant do most of that with the new s--- i still dig it tho but gkmc>>tpab

Spoke to a lot of people and the general view is that while the Kendrick album may be technically great with a great message, its not as enjoyable as it should be. FHD is loved and preferred im comparasion. These are just general views, not Cole stans

Like I wanted to f--- with TPAB so bad, and I found myself not caring about it days after it came out, it's all great production, it's just that there's something that makes the album seem boring to me altogether. Not really sure what it is

I think maybe the whole style and concept of the album is overdone, like it has to be fun to listen to as much as it has to be worth listening to if you get what I'm saying. The album is just too heavy and dense. FHD played much looser with its concept and had a lighter mood and we got an album that's fun and easy to listen to, meaning heavy replay value. (I still kind of wished he followed his concept a little more but that's beside the point haha)

However, I think the main thing is this: Kendricks album takes itself too seriously, there's no real light moments on the album, even i ends with a speech on dead loved ones. It's a deep artistic direction, but it's not super fun to hear a lot, it's kind of like hanging out with a friend whos always uptight, it'll get uncomfortable and boring after awhile, even if he/she can carry on a good conversation, you'll just wanna be chill with him/her but you can't, they're too serious

    That's just my piece

I think that's the whole point of it. It's not suppose to be fun, enjoyable and easy to listen like other albums. It's suppose to make you think and take in his thoughts. He already did the other stuff with his previous albums but this time he took a risk and wanted a greater message out of it.

She even loves one of Cole's worst songs :hovcry:

Wonder how hard it is for Cole to stay loyal to Melissa :sad2:
