    nah its just he wants to be taken seriously as an artist. This s--- is the opposite of that. If young thug put this vid out i woulda laughed, but cole carries the image that he wants to be taken seriously and that hes the savior of hip hop etc. This video is the worst thing hes done in his career :idk:

    Exactly. They want Cole to be different and be more artistic but when he does it he gets no credit. In this case I get it because the video is weird. But in general, Cole doesn't get the credit for at least at trying.

    The song in itself is not supposed to be taken seriously with its vivid detail and s--- so I don't know why y'all are taking this so badly to heart. This is like saying Leonard Dicaprio or will smith can't make comedies and can only do dramas if they want to be taken seriously as actors. There's different sides to an artist and considering the song borders on uncomfortably funny I don't see why Cole can't be top 5 because of a purposefully funny video. The execution was just not good imo.

    True. But Kanye gets credit for his artistic videos. MJ is iconic for his videos. I'm sure people want artistic Cole videos as well.

    I just think sometimes Cole tries too hard to be artistic when it comes to his visuals. Let's see what type of video Cole does with No Role Modelz.

    LMFAO that video was legit the funniest rap video I've seen in a long time. This n----- cole really don't care about any criticism at all that's how I really know he made it

    Make classic albums & he'll cement himself at the top. If you're considered as third in line by the masses and put out corny videos...he shall remain in his current state. Simple. (Contingent upon if his music progresses or remains the same)

    This isn't really about the video. It's about his decision making.

    My girl said it's, "cute and funny." Most people, outside of the forum, like the video. It's funny and playful to them. They watch it and have a laugh or two. No need to overthink/dissect a music video and make over the top remarks. You letting your emotions make your decisions @KLD3816

    Agree about classic albums. But one corny video doesn't mean you are not in the top 5. With that logic, Kanye is way less of an artist because of the bound 2 video. Y'all are simply overreacting.
