    maybe it's because i'm so used to that og west coast feel dre had going for his first two albums, but compton didn't blow me away on first listen. idk if it was my speakers (doubtful cuz they're basically new), but this s--- seemed really loud and not mixed properly. i gotta give it another listen. for now, i enjoyed the second half of the album much more than the first. maybe i need to let this spin a few more times. :idk:

    that beat is simple, but there's something so catchy about it.

    The song is good, but I think the visuals needed at least one other location. Maybe like flipping between him doing the same rap/motions in different locations would've been dope. Still though, not bad.

    Why am I not surprised the best insights/opinions regarding Dre's album were in this thread. Nostalgia honestly plays a big part in me liking this album, it's always dope to hear rappers you grew up on come together and give it one last go. It's just missing that big record like Nuthin' But A G Thang or Still D.R.E that would have put this album over the top, but the ones with K.Dot come close.

    I really like "Note to Yourself" the actual song not the credits, I never really paid it any attention until I heard it in Cole's Bally video.

    Have to revisit TPAB today after this Dre album. I'm a full time Kendrick stan again, those 3 verses are unreal.
