    smh I'm sorry y'all but its really disappointing cole went ghost after this album and didn't give it the proper roll out when he finally delivered musically

    a couple months was okay but he shudder started doing something after that

    Just because he isn't dropping songs every week like Drake doesn't mean he went ghost. The album is speaking for itself and is standing the test of time so far. It didn't need any dramatic or forced roll out. He dropped music videos, did a few interviews, featured with Janet Jackson and Planes will be a Top40 hit within a couple weeks once the video drops. So I don't understand what more you want from him?

    He has been touring and performing in arenas throughout the year selling 500k+ tickets for the tour. Performing every song on the album in front of 20k people every night is the best album roll out you can have. Bringing out Hov & Drake for his homecoming show is one of the biggest W's of his career.

    Look at FHD sales as well, it just went Platinum and is still in the charts steadily selling 5k+ copies per week after 39 weeks. Cole's previous two albums never had commercial longevity like this one has. The people are speaking for themselves, everyone loves the album and he's even outselling Kendrick now,he is more popular than ever before and his fan-base keeps on growing.

    This is arguably the most active he has ever been after an album. He's always in the news either about the tour, the album, or the general nice things that he does such as attending that girls college graduation and speaking to troubled kids before his show. Those types of things connect with people much more when they're reported, than Cole doing a breakfast club interview for example just for the sake of it.

    It's easily been the best year of his career so far, so why would he change his approach? Let him do his thing, I'm sure he has more stuff planed and new music will come when he's ready.

    Don't know wtf he gonna talk bout.. But I need that next album

    This dudes star bout to burst. Expecting him to push 500k if he come correct. w/ it being his best to date

    Just watching dude u can see the potential from his early s--- turn into progression. Almost don't even f--- w/ him performing some of them older joints other than the classics tbh. He on another level now no need. Anyway feel like fhd was almost like a tease nd number 4 gonna be the medellin imo

    Agree, except for the fact that Cole has expressed that even he himself hasn't been satisfied with the way he's treated his past albums post release. The fact that he's in the news more often speaks to nothing more than the fact that he's becoming more well known due to his music. Pushing singles at opportune times and dropping videos is the least he can do to give his music the proper promotion it deserves.

    On another note, a dreamville posse cut is due. over a smooth soul sample :rejoice: wonder if they really putting that dude lute on the team

    to answer ur question "what do u want from him": truthfully a short film tbh ... yes he already basically does short films for his music videos and doesn't do what u typically expect from a music video but they're still music videos, when i say short film i mean like some 20 minute long s--- that incorporates a bunch of different songs from the album ... maybe I just love short films that much cause i said the same thing for born sinner lol but i really feel this album was the perfect thing to do something like that for and it wud make the album so much more special ... i never really wanted more new music, at least for several months following the album (cause that detracts from the actual album itself) ... at this point now tho i feel like the time is right to drop a couple new songs or a mini project, especially with being done the tour and going platinum to boot

    It was on some french magazine he did an interview with. i seen someone translated the quote

    "First, I hope it will come out this year. It's a pretty crazy thing in which I tried to make songs, real songs, not the quick stuff like on a tape. A dose of Kendrick Lamar, a dose of J. Cole, this stuff because it's got to be an album"

    I'm guessing he's referring more to the way they put cohesive albums together, rather than musical style :ehh:

    I don't think Cole has to do more than he's doing right now. His concerts trended on my instagram every week, and he just went platinum. However, i'm getting hungry for more music. and what's holding up the No Role Modelz video.
