This album is def more consistent than Vol 1 but its much less captivating imo

Probably home to some of his best singles and Jay found a fine balance of pop-rap and the gully street s--- he was known for at the time. Like YDB said I just don't find it as endearing as Vol.1.

Yeah I'd rather listen to Vol. 2 front to back but I revisit Vol. 1's standouts more regularly

I'm not sure which volume I prefer. Like others have said, Vol 1 has better stand outs but Vol 2 is more consistent...I Know What Girls Like is easily the worst song from both albums.

Money Cash Hoes beat sounds like some sort of sound notification on Windows 98 I could see Pusha spitting on this beat easily

I reckon I like this album a lot more than Vol 1. So far my ranking would go RD > Vol 2 > Vol 1.

Favourite tracks on this are Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem), If I Should Die, n----- What n----- Who, Money Cash Hoes, A Week Ago, Coming of Age (best song on the album by the way), Paper Chase, It's Like That and It's Alright.

I think I'd give the edge to Volume 2, though Volume 1 has more of my favorite Jay songs (Where I'm From, the intro, You Must Love Me, Streets is Watching etc)...
