Just looked it up, AllAboutJazz does seem to love Kamasi. I haven't even heard the record. I was just repeating what I've seen online. Ambrose Akinmusire is just as highly praised and has done more than Kamasi. I have heard his stuff.

Yeah, I mean that's totally legit about Ambrose Akinmusire -- not contesting that. I do think you should listen to the epic before you go around shaming people here though.

I love ambrose but Kamasi proved himself as one of the most talented musicians in the game...and thats pretty much a known thing within the jazz community.

And many jazz lovers will tell you The Magnificent 7 is without a doubt one of the best jazz tracks ever recorded. It displays exemplary musicianship in a 12-minute format without going too far over the edge.

I wasn't shaming anybody? Everything I posted was indicative of the responses I've seen online. You're the only one posturing here.

The Epic is too long for me. I'm saving it for a rainy day.

On the contrary, I think you are, which is why I'm taking you to task. You don't really follow jazz seriously, or know anything about its "community"

Instead you're mocking @derro13's word choice as if you have some higher insight, or deeper knowledge. you haven't heard the album even bro lol.

and cmon you're always strutting about watching Protazanov and s---. you have plentyyyy of time, regardless of weather lol. you overstepped sum here son
