If Eminem actually flowed it wouldn't be bad. And If this hook was bright, and the actual verses after were sad and the beat is switched it will be a classic. But unfortunately I think it might be another "so far..." Hes definitely gonna use a choppy flow.

check that interview he did with zane lowe for starboy. Zane asked him about eminem and he was trying his best to dance around the topic but it was pretty obvious to me. Also Em did that hills remix out of nowhere. It was probably a return favor to the weeknd for his hook to Ems project. I could be wrong but im 85% sure another weeknd,Em track exists

I remember a few during the trshady days, Talkin 2 Myself sticks out in my mind, it had another rapper on it.
Here is the song, exact same beat and hook by Cingque, Upload date March 2009, 1.5 years before Recovery but apparently it was out in 2008.

Exactly! I've always felt this way. Seems like they've just been selecting random s--- from specific producers and then eminem is fitting his lyrics around it, with some modifications from the original I'm sure.

I'd like to see him go back to picking beats and hooks that's more appropriate to what he's trying to say than picking beats and hooks and writing lyrics to fit that selection.

He heard the Stan hook and it triggered the whole idea of the song. But the premise of the song was something he was struggling with early on in his newfound fame. So yea he wrote the lyrics to fit the hook, but it was subject matter that made appearances throughout the album and his whole career.

So basically, yea I'd like him to go back to first finding the raw emotion and subject matter, then find beats and hooks that fit the subject and lyrics.

Or alternatively, just work with the bass brothers and Dre haha
