    Are any of you guys in the stock market at all?
    If so what percentage is your portfolio divided up roughly?

    Example: 50% Long Term Holds, 25% Pennystocks, 25% Tradeable Funds

    Also what are some stocks you’re currently watching?

    Jet started a stocks and finances thread awhile back.

    Anyway, i haven’t dove into the stock market yet, but plan to soon. Kodak’s stock shot Up tremendously when they announced their own cryptocurrency.

    I saw that but I think it’ll bubble pretty quick honestly. Everyone just hears crypto and loses their f---ing minds.

    ...overstock is planning to utilize the blockchain to diminish the existence of "naked shorts".

    naked shorts is when shares are counterfeited/created out of thin air, driving down stock prices. this has put some companies out of business in the past by pushing their valuation low enough as to where they can't finance loans to grow.
    why does overstock care about this? naked shorts affected overstock a decade ago and almost killed them.

    so, overstock created subsidiary Medici Ventures which is a project to use the blockchain to disrupt the naked shorts via a decentralized validation process. this could be big.
