Jun 26, 2017 idk he said he likes X, uzi and praises people like 2 chainz etc so i don’t see him as being anti-new gen at all besides the carti hate and i think he’s on that bandwagon now too & at the end of the day, this incident wouldn’t have gotten to where it did without joe & as far as i’m concerned more ppl are talking about it than the actual bet event itself + it’s gonna bring large amounts of traffic to the show so pretty smart all the way around if u ask me
Jun 26, 2017 I think both Joe and Migos are guilty in this situation that almost escalated in a fight. Joe shouldn't had thrown a mic like that and Migos shouldn't had stood up and approach Joe like they were going to hurt him. If I was part of Migos I would have laughed my a--- off how Joe had thrown the mic to the floor like that it was very funny idk why why were so angry about it lol
Jun 26, 2017 but yeah this is pretty hilarious lmao however if nadeska caught that fade I would go to LA and beat the s--- out of migos ain't no one touching my girl nadeska
Jun 26, 2017 2 chains has been making music for a long time though... longer than joe even. He just doesn't come off as sincere to me. He makes little side comments like "lil yachty is ruining hip-hop" and his whole mind set on how hip-hop artists today have CEO's telling them what to do and how to make their music. That comes off as very ant new generation for me. I mean the same guy who claims to like all these newer artists that are all over radio rapped this: Joe Budden is essentially the Fox News of hip-hop. He claims to be cool with the new generation and like them but....we all really know the truth... lol
Jun 26, 2017 So what you are saying is that Joe Budden essentially hates the newer generation of rappers based on a cypher verse he rapped back in 2011 & you not believing him when he praises any new/current rappers?
Jun 26, 2017 Based on comments he's made recently too, yes. He even acknowledges it himself. In the yachty imterview he said something along the lines of "I don't mean for this to come off as old-n------mad-s---.." he knows he's an old head at heart. No matter how much he tries to say he likes the newer generation.
Jun 26, 2017 To conclude this, if you asked joe budden who's a better rap artist in 2017, future or em, I almost gaurentee you he'd say em and give you some YouTube comment-esque explanation of em's lyrical ability. He says he likes rappers from this generation but he clearly holds artists from his generation on a higher pedestal because of the style of hip-hop they make/made. He shows more appreciation towards them.
Jun 26, 2017 Joe Budden was so closed to being the next big rapper for years. He had a string of critically acclaimed mix tapes... He was the number one rap artists of taste makers on music forums of the late 00's. The King Magazine models he dated would become c-list celebrities. He was right on the brink... But when its all said in done... He's just a dude who used to smoke PCP who had one hit with a workout song and probably punched a baby out of his girlfriend.
Jun 26, 2017 Only people who were heavily inveated in rap forums ib the late 00s believe this. Joe was very smart and savvy at the time... And things like jobudden.tv and blowing up Tahiry's career should have made him a huge star and a multimillionaire... He just couldn't connect with the crossover appeal out of bad luck.
Jun 26, 2017 Because he was a struggling scrub who only appealed to nerds who illegally downloaded music and never left there mom's house to go to concerts.
