    Ok I would be lying if I said Budden didn't just eat Drake alive with this:hard:

    Disagree. Beef raps are some of the best raps. Nothing wrong with settling it on record instead of behind closed doors.

    I don't necessarily think he's a chode just because he made these two songs, it's just the situation and feeling I get from the entire thing.

    I don't know the entire backstory but I feel like Joe is like "hey guys I'm here, me, look I'm dissing Drake", it just comes off corny. Beef needs to be between two people who are of similar popularity or 'level', or it needs to be something deeply rooted like Em and Benzino w/ his magazine.

    Is this really up to caliber for me to think Budden is cool for doing this, basically? Meh

    Drake releases Views, Joe doesn't like it so criticises it on his podcast. Drake finds out so throws one liner subliminal towards Joe. Joe proceeds to school Drake like a father to his kid

    I think that's the backstory?

    for me after Drakes ghost writing scandal...Drake is somewhat on "that level" to be challenged by other artists...and Joe Budden isn't a new corny rapper so the match up is pretty even in my book

    See? It's just two dimensional to me. Like was the subliminal even for sure about Joe? It wasn't like he called him out, wasn't like he hit him with a hard line.

    I feel like the story to this is Joe throwing a fit because it's beneficial to him and that's it really.

    There's also the Pump It Up reference on the French Montana track and that's a bit less subliminal but I don't think the full track is even out yet. Imagine if that verse was a compliment to Joe :dead:
