This will be a song for all the fa----s. The major embarrassment is prime Eminem totally against gay people and now trying to be non homophobic. Basically from 15 seconds of ems verse I could only put up with made me see that’s the topic. This will back fire bad on Eminem. His current fans are homophobic beer drinking redneck trump voters who only listen to a white rapper and his young fan base is edgy Mountain Dew fueled Call of Duty toxic kids calling opponents fa----s and the hard N word. He literally ruined his career. Not like he had one anymore though. Revival barely sold and stans were saying how much he’d k--- drake, only for drakes album to get billons of streams and top 30 billboard hits lmao

And so," What if I was gay" by Joyner Lucas and Em has been fully leaked.
And it is a great pity, because we have deprived ourselves of the possibility that an emotionally devastating and powerful piece would become the hit that would have deserved to be... and we also wont have a great video either.
Yes, it is a great story telling, as it has not been heard since Stan's time.

A dialogue between Joyner, who plays the part of a boy confused over his sexuality, who is afraid, who does not feel he can be himself, a person that society and religion make feel wrong, who decide to talk to his friend.

But his friend, played by Eminem, reacts badly: as a homophobe, he thinks his friend is a freak of nature, incapable of controlling his instincts, a weak man who could not conquer even a girl ... and so he tells him that he can't do anything about it and that he doesn't want to have anything to do with him anymore.

Except then being assaulted by guilt and pain, because it turns out that
the boy - after being treated so severely - went home and committed suicide.
And the character played by Em torments himself for having lost his best friend and not having helped him, for letting him die alone, and he wonders why: why he remained imprisoned in his mind and prejudices, even the religious ones, and wonders if, after all, all this homophobia does not hide the fear of being gay too.

In short, this is the best answer ever to all the idiots who accused Eminem of homophobia in the past.

People's greed sadly destroyed a true masterpiece.

Ngl this song was doper than I expected. Went in thinking it was gonna be cringe but I enjoyed it. Nice Lil plot twist with Em at the end.

They are trying to do a I’m Not Racist type record to combat homophobia, which sounds good spirited but the majority of Eminem fans do not want him politically correct. Expecting them to notice the backlash and then they act like it was never recorded

Are people in here really trashing this song? Of course, its not a b-----r or anything, but the concept is decent. And Em brings his A game with the lyrics and the storytelling on this one.
Tbh the song doesn't even sound finished or mixed, maybe the final product would have been more refined, I guess.

I think the point is he was so against his friend being gay because of how badly he was denying it to himself. It's two dudes unable to admit they might be gay for each other. Joyner telling him he's gay, then em's initial reaction, which is overblown because of the feelings he's holding back, buddy kills himself, blah blah blah...or I unno, whatever, buncha queers, who cares, not this dude, I'ma go s--- my own d-ck and sob all over it
