Dec 14, 2024 Atonement - Killswitch Engage REVIEW Score: 6.5 Review: I can say, I was pretty cautious going into this album, but I enjoyed it. A large chunk of the score I can credit to the first 3 songs, they went HARD. After that, it was 50/50 if I liked the tracks or not. It just never picked up steam for me again. The album is not bad by any means, but it’s just above average for me. I thought it did sound great throughout though, crazy guitar shredding that I’m always a sucker for. Dec 15, 2024 I can't really explain why, but this album (alongside D'Angelo's Voodoo) is always on repeat during December/January. I guess it's just that good For this week's AOTWClub album I have chosen... Daft Punk - Discovery One of my favorite albums. This is the duo's second, and has some of their biggest hits like "One More Time" and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger", and some great deep cuts. I especially love "Something About Us" and "Face to Face", but I consider this album be a perfect 10 so I might be a tad bit biased. With features from Romanthony and Todd Edwards, Discovery has continued to be incredibly influential more than 20 years after its release. I hope that you all enjoy (Sorry for the Carti bait-and-switch, we'll have to force MM to listen to WLR some other time). @AOTWClub @Justin Trudeau
Dec 15, 2024 Also FYI: I think it's an anniversary release, so the cover art on Spotify (and maybe other streaming services but I'm not sure) has been changed to this alternate made for the album's companion movie Interstella 555. So just keep in mind that this cover isn't the usual one
